As a Canadian i must say, Don Cherry is a NATIONAL INSTITUTION. He is a MAJOR played in Canadian media and hockey. His suits are stupid, and some of his sayings too. I'm not even a big hockey fan, but I LOVE DON CHERRY! I LOVE CANADA. JE T'AIME DON CHERRY! JE ADORE CANADA.
national legend? I'm glad someone noticed this blathering fool and enshrined him in the "EVERYTHING IS TERRIBLE" compendium of terribleness. Canadian TV used to be awful. I remember flipping through channels and seeing this guy's face for 0.9 seconds over and over.........

I was totally expecting a photo of him and his wife in the newspaper, but it does make sense that only a dog could tolerate being near him.
Never heard of him before, but he strikes me as a bit of an a-hole. Perhaps when he isn't portraying his character he's not so annoying.
So... he's like Canada's Colbert?
If he's anything remotely similar to american pundits, I'd say he's more of a O'Reilly than a Colbert.
