EIT, I've put up with this for a while, but this has got to stop.

You keep tantalizing me with videos of Branson MO, when you know full well that I live 1226 miles away. Not only do I have tiny dogs driving cars to torment me with their Branson footage, I now have to live with the fact that I missed Shane's debut.

I can't, EIT, I cant'.

You can clearly see Shane goes his own way but not having the family stache.

Poor Shane, he might be doing most of the harmonies but he ain't doing much of the talking.

He changed his name again, to "John Cody's Son."

BIG BRANSON IS WATCHING!!

I guess it's a good thing the one who talks so much didn't die... or is it?

Either way that kids undershirt was vile.

So did that guy die while they were filming the first interview? Does time work differently in Branson?

Hmmm...something is fishy here. I think we have Sigfried and Roy musical duo going on. I don't think they were brothers at all! And as for this "son"...

Wow! It's like a David Lynch directed Branson booster - that twist in the middle just cameout of NOWHERE!

That's enough, John Paul.

I just checked the list and now I have to ask: How are you guys NOT doing a 2E2T2 screening in Branson?

I think the Grey Man kidnapped "Shane" and made a zombie out of him by drilling into his frontal cortex with something from the Branson hardware store.
That said, I nearly shit myself laughing when the Clone died suddenly and Shane appeared on stage. Oh wait, no. I DID shit myself.

"We'll do anything from George Jones to Neil Diamond."

If there was even such a thing as music outside of that vast repertoire, I wouldn't want to hear it.

RIP the quiet one.

So... two clones of Sleazy P. Martini go to Branson. One is a mute and dies. Moments later, he is replaced by a another mute (although not a clone). The original clone decides against altering the show or costume in any way.

It's like a Phillip K. Dick meets Hunter S. Thompson.

I think the first guy ate the other one. You know how twins are.

These two would fulfill my twin fantasy very nicely.

Very nicely, indeed..

This is Shawn from the Haygoods, a performing family in Branson. Pretty sweet! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDuhcnGozcg

or Branson's worst show, the Baldknobbers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SmiBPEGa5w

There's a better than even chance that one or both of these studhorses have already made love to your wife.

In the first segment, the guy on the left looks like Andy Kaufman doing "Mighty Mouse," just shifting and looking around uncomfortably.

Wait.. Did he say beauty and the beast?

I saw these two men perform when I was in high school. My family drove to Branson to try to find a cousin of mine that apparently had had a mental breakdown and was last seen working a hot dog stand at Silver Dollar City (true story). My dad and I went to this show. It was actually pretty entertaining in a train wreck sort of way. They sang a Jesus song at the end and one of the fountains broke, causing a sudden evacuation of the theater. As most folks had walkers, it was a very slow evacuation indeed. But the brothers sang in the lobby and we got free sodas. One of the brothers, I think the one that died, had a huge bulge in his pants, that part I remember most of all.

Is it just a major kawinkydink that this video plays like a scene from a Christopher Guest mockumentary that one of his first such movies in that style "Waiting for Guffman" took place in Branson MO.

I don't understand all this mute nonsense. The guy clearly said "Grapeviiiiiiiiiine......Texas."

I just came across this site today. I was the drummer for Jon and Paul, in Hollywood, in the mid-60's. They were billed as the "Jon Paul Twins". Their last name is Vorhaben, and, they originally came from Gulfport, Miss. We worked in Hollywood, LA, Vegas and Reno, and, Hawaii, including a number of guest spots on the old "Hollywood A Go Go tv show. I'm very sorry to learn of Jon's passing. They were great guys to work with, friendly and honest, and very talented. Dick Laurey, Beaverton, Oregon

I was a close friend of pauls daughter when i lived in branson, spending days on end with the family, both at their home and the theater. They are in fact brothers and shane is johns son. Amazing family!!!

Just wondering if anyone knows the circumstances of John's death.

Anonymous said...

Dick Laurey: John didn't die. Paul did. Back in 1994 I believe. Sudden heart attack.
John is still alive and resides in Missouri, but is not on a show. He is retired and enjoying life.

Correction- John is the brother who passed away.
