We got these DVDs for free at the Comicon. Comicon is a place where people pay large sums of money for worthless shit, so you know this stuff is Terrible.

They were actually trying to make us think that the guy in the gorilla suit is really a gorilla named Tracy who is trained by some Bob Burns!
Amazingly, the Ghost Busters one isn't a spin-off. It came before the movie in the 80s, and that terrible Filmation fake Ghost Busters cartoon was a spin-off of this.
I'm suppose to believe that while stranded on an island they could not repair the boat on which they arrived nor construct a new boat on which to leave.... but they did build a space ship out of wood and using some unspecified fuel source, and apparently a ships wheel for guidance, did make it to another planet.
What does this have to do with ghosts??
