LIVE FROM NEW YORK!

Sometimes, life makes you buy a bootleg set of SNL Season 18, just for a sketch you cannot forget...

I guess when life gives you soul-sapping, insufferable SNL skits, you make EIT-ade.

I kind of wish I could forget it, now.

Ok now I'm showing my age!! I totally remember that episode. Classic SNL :-)

I remember my friends finding SNL hilarious in the late 80s/early 90s, and I could never understand why. 20 years on, and I still can't.

Dearest All Things Art Terreeblay...thank you for reminding me of a life quest, just now completed. For several years in several rows, I scoured the internet hoping somebody had uploaded the masterpiece that is my own favorite skit, to no avail. Looks like a kind soul finally did late last year...

...so here it is, my favorite snl skit of all time, for your mutual enjoyment:

You've got a problem when Adam Sandler gets the only laugh out of your audience.

if you have a bootleg season 18, it is your civic duty to post the "Mimic" sketch from the Alec Baldwin episode. It does not exist anywhere online, and was cut from the "official" release on Hulu. Do it for America!

I SECOND THAT DUDE WHO WANTS THE MIMIC.

Yeah, this is what they'd put in after the last musical number, if they had a couple minutes to kill. The only reason I'd watch this is because I didn't have school the next day, and got to stay up late.

i did- and still- found this funny. it's hipster sesame street stuff and the mom is hilarious. it's obviously not supposed to be in your face comedy. just a thing. a memorable, silly thing. Great theme song, no?
