I worked at an affiliate station in 432 once upon a time. You have no idea of what doesn't make it to TV.

I saw a biker santa from Bikers Against Child Abuse pat the ass of a girl who looked to be a teenager as she was rising to get off his lap. The look of horror on her face was indescribable.

We all had a good laugh about it and didn't air it. The tape's long gone by now, but the scene is burned into my brain forever.

In the early 1990s I worked in a "regional" television station in a blue-collar town, and practically ever other promo, ad, location shoot, and human interest piece was EiT worthy. If only I had access again, and a 3/4" deck to read that aging media. Goldmine. And by "gold" I mean "poop."

you know? that wouldn't be half bad if they employed some clever editing.

When it starts to tumble they could cut to the interior and his reaction. then back to the tumble. then back to him then back to the tumble... but have it take place within two seconds or less
