This guy's got some deadly super powers. He needs to be locked away in the highest of high-security super-villain chambers a la Magneto in the X-Men movie.
Has anyone here ever read The Bacchae? Because that is some Dionysiac shit right there. Those people are THISCLOSE to ripping apart their own child because the devil-preacher tells them the child is actually a mountain lion. Or something.
This clip is a lot more fun to watch when you notice that for the most part, only the top half of his body is showing, and if you imagine he's not wearing any pants.
This is actually kinda cool. It reminds me of Laughter Yoga. Belly laughs everyday has got to be good for you, even if you need to couch it in Jahzus to do it...
You guys really outdid yourselves this time. The source material, the editing... perfect! When it erupts into a jitterbug rave at the end I laughed very, very hard.
I believe this is called "Laughing in the Spirit". I caught my old church on TV once and they were doing this. I thought it was disturbing. I still find it disturbing.
is anyone else legitimately horrified? god can you imagine how much power that guy feels? he has so much power!!! i slightly envy them for being able to just... i don't know. what do you think they are experiencing in their minds???
As an ex-evangelical, that is the most frightening thing I've ever seen =) It's like a rave!
ReplyDeleteIs that Kenneth Copeland in the brown suit doing the jitterbug?
ReplyDeletefor a minister, he sure does have the whole EVIL LAUGH thing down pretty good
ReplyDeleteHe's slowly killing them all with laughter! And he's loving every minute of it.
ReplyDeleteDon't blame this one on the evangelicals, they're allergic to feeling.
ReplyDeleteYou will give all of your life saving's to Hypno John the Baptist.

ReplyDeleteThis is the scariest thing I've ever seen in my life. What's going on here? Is he hypnotizing them? Is it a laughter cult? Wtf?

ReplyDeletethats kenneth copeland!!! hahha
ReplyDeleteNow if only stand-up comedians could get away with this kind of thing. Oh wait....Dane Cook.
ReplyDeleteOh my... WTF is that cult?
ReplyDeleteThe evil laughter part sounds like Vincent Price laughing at the end of the Thriller song.
ReplyDeleteI'm scared by the thought of people actually participating in this craziness.
ReplyDeletei sort of like the part around 1:00 where he's hitting them on the head the most.
ReplyDeleteYes, laughing IS disturbing.
ReplyDelete"I'm scared by the thought of people actually participating in this craziness."
I can't believe people laugh either... crazy.
This wackiness on The Daily Show with Craig Kilborn in a segment he liked to call Godstuff with John Bloom (aka Joe Bob Briggs).

ReplyDeleteincinerate them.
ReplyDeleteThis is the kind of thing that poisons true religion.
ReplyDeleteThis is why I'm Mormon.
