2 MINUTE CARNIVAL MAGIC!

'Carnival Magic' is a film like no other. It stars a chimp that sounds like Tom Waits in 30 years, soap star Don Stewart, and a bunch of carny folk. For me to tell the tale of how this film came to be is above my pay-grade, but more info can be found here and a very special thanks to Zack over at The Alamo Drafthouse for this odd gem! Have we talked about Zack? He's the best and you should pre-order his amazing book. More to come on that as the year progresses!

But wait! If you live in southern California, then you're in luck! BECAUSE IT'S PLAYING AT THE CINEFAMILY SATURDAY MAY 8TH!

  3. I love a movie in which the ambient sound is louder than the dialogue.

  4. Back in his pimping days Clarence went by Gus, he took the name from a chimp he had to wrestle on a TV set where he was the keygrip. Wrestling said chimp turned him off from the whole TV business. Already being quite the ladies man he slipped easily into the realm of prostitution.

He put this behind him using the earnings to return to school and get an associates degree in management, after which he started his own business in developing flavored celery. He has two lovely, spoiled children, a doting girlfriend who teaches kindergarten, and an alcoholic ex-wife named Sally.

...but you can't fool a circus magician!!!

  5. UPDATE: Okay so the Chimp was really named Alex, and Gus was just a pseudonym. But I stand by the rest of my pack of lies!

  6. Ive seen this movie in entirety and i am sadly disappointed that you did not include the woman on chimp jerk off scene. I mean seriously how could you not put that on here, its pretty much the entire reason to watch that movie

  8. Heh. This totally reminded me of "Simon, King of the Witches" which is a strangely good-yet-bad film from the 70's.

  9. You're right, Clarence can't put down a thirty back of Natty Ice and wrap his Dodge around a light pol... but GUS can!
