  3. Just in case we didn't know who it was already, they just had to put "Todd Bridges" under him during the dance.

    because oh of course!

  5. "Oh gee, a Black person is dancing. This was worth freezing my nuts off, coming out in New York City in the middle of November," said no one in the overwhelmingly white crowd ever.

    Captcha= "blackey"

  6. This takes the Sarge back to perusing the Sears Christmas Wish Book, bypassing the clothes to get to the awesome toys section, and waiting for people to get to the house while the aroma of turkey and stuffing filled the air.

    There was something charming about only having about seven channels to choose from in those days. Networks even had a captive audience who were then subjected to their stars' vanity projects. There were TV movies of the week advertised in local newspapers and people had things to talk about with each other. But, this bred complacence and also made late 70's-1980's TV largely unwatchable.

  7. I now picture Sarge McKinley as Kup from Transformers.

  8. Eight comments so far and still no one has said "Black Duane."

    ...oh, wait...

  9. Yes...I am sad, sad Kup. All alone with no Arcee in my life. Just a bunch of other forgotten Autobots like Topspin, Cosmos, Skids and Camshaft hanging out with me in a rundown Fortress Maximus...

    ...Blurr sells drugs now. Mostly to Wreck-Gar...*sigh*

  11. One of the latest Rifftrax VOD had a Todd Bridges joke I didn't get until just now, so thanks for this. The movie they were riffing was titled, The Guy From Harlem, but I'm sure you are already quite familiar with it. Righ?
