This lil' piece of wonderful was posted on March 12, 2008, but I guess never made it back up after the Youtubeocalypse. So here is the video that Ghoul Skool once called "...incredible. By far my favorite clip EIT has to offer so far." Pretty big words for such a little man.
Dem Bonez is from the collection of Walker Hughes!
HBO’s Encyclopedia was awesome! The best song sketch was Leif Ericson…or maybe Attila…or maybe Hammurabi. Betty’s songs were okay, but not as educational as the sketches. Mainly they had kick-ass hair.
ReplyDeleteSomething primal inside me deeper than the bones is frightened of those dancing skeletons in the second video. I can sense that they will strip me down, skin and all, and boogie with my remains.
ReplyDeleteSomehow never thought I'd see a Betty video here. But that's why I like EIT. Surprises!
ReplyDeletesome kid watched this and really got into bones. that same kid will grow up and give you a new hip implant. humming that song while working on you.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to go out on a limb here, Where'd he get the bike?
ReplyDeleteHe Stole it!
The best part of the video was that the woman was playing a bone-encrusted xylophone, yet no actual xylophone sounds were heard?
ReplyDeleteIt's a tibia, not a tibula, sis.
ReplyDeleteThat second one has a habit of getting stuck in my head, played whatever DVD that one's on too many times, I think. Curses.
ReplyDeleteI thought I saw Duane at 1:21. Upon further review, however, I was sadly- SO SADLY- mistaken.
ReplyDeleteOh, man, I remember that second video! It's from this old sing-along VHS tape (chock full of pretty much just public domain stuff) that they had at my day-care place when I was a kid. Y'all should post the "candy-man" song from it next!
ReplyDeleteI like how they couldn't even be bothered to look up the actual names of the bones.
ReplyDelete"That one there? That's the shin bone."
Out of all of them I think Body Bonz had the best solo tape
ReplyDeleteBest doctors ever. Definitely needed that quick run through or I bet there'd be no way those kids would have been able to answere "foot bone." Clearly studied at the same med school as Dr. Nick!
ReplyDelete"You are suffering from bonus eruptus. A terrible disease where the skeleton tries to leap out of the body!"
The second video is from a show I used to watch called "Kidsongs". It's about a group of kids who find an old abandoned TV studio and then use it to broadcast their own show about kids singing songs in hilariously bad music videos. It was essentially Kidz Bop for television.
ReplyDeleteOf course, looking back on it, you realize not every song was appropriate for its audience. One song they covered was "Bend Me, Shape Me", which is a song about sex (duh!). To hide this fact, the accompanying video involved kids doing gymnastics. Ha!
PS - The version I watched in South Africa appears different than the American version, which has two size-changing gremlins I've never seen before.
