While looking for their cover of Kris kross' 'Jump' (still looking) I found these awesome oddballs from those incorrigible, incorporated KIDS. Note how in 'Pink Cadillac,' some producer got a roomful of children to sing about the holiest of holes!
The "guitar" solo at the beginning of "Pink Cadillac" is notable both because of how poignant it is in just three notes and because the Pete Townshend slide is equally as long as the solo.
Next up they do a stirring rendition of Murder in the Red Barn!
ReplyDeleteReally like the new title animation! woof
ReplyDeleteThey do a good version of "Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis" too.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure they're doing the Rod Stewart version, but still, YIKES.
ReplyDeleteDang, I was hoping for God's Away on Business.

ReplyDeleteWelp, after thirty odd years of suffering through that damn "Pink Cadillac" song, now I know the subtext. Thanks, EIT!
Seriously, though, anytime you share something from "Kids Inc." is a good day.
is that duane's cousin in the back rocking, and spinning on the guitar?
ReplyDeleteThat's the strangest sounding guitar I've ever heard!
ReplyDeleteDuane sighting at the 1:15 mark in the pink cadillac video!
ReplyDeleteI love how they have kids pretending to play the guitar while dancing. It really adds a layer of verisimilitude. Or crappiness. Take your pick.

ReplyDeletespotted Fergie (in the pink leg warmers) and Jennifer Love Hewitt...
