  1. Ah, the mixed messages of children's entertainment.

  2. Fred apparently has access to a time machine but still turned up late. I wonder how many other franchises got the variety show treatment in the 70s. We need a wiki for this.

  3. Whenever I feel like American television can't blow harder than it does now, it helps to look at the old variety show schlock networks used to excrete. The "we're in the money" dance routine was pretty classy though.

  4. Fred Flinstone was the big closer? Fail.

I've actaully got a video of my dad and I at Hanna Barbera Land in 1984. They blue screened you into a video with Scooby-Doo.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjqH1qQraG8 - Same video from a person less lazier than me.

  5. If I ever needed to explain the 1970's to a person who wasn't there, I would show them this.

Why is that one guy with the banjo in all of these specials?

  6. This was my childhood.

@Trish- That was Roy Clark of Hee Haw fame (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roy_Clark). Accomplished guitarist, unfortunately here playing second fiddle to best forgotten HB characters.

And let's not forget a time when Bonnie Franklin was considered an entertainer. If you can call that song entertaining.

  7. I imagine hell being a lot like this.

And it just goes on and on, even when you try to sleep they just skate and sing around you.

  8. When I first heard about everythingisterrible, I assumed it would be nothing more than a bunch of Hanna-Barbera cartoons. They brought Terrible into the mainstream ages ago.

  13. I cringed through the entire thing.. as a child born in the eighties, this made me appreciate the 90's cartoons I grew up with.

  14. Yuck. There's just something about full-on 70s that always seems so smarmy and depressing, like the foul stench of breath through a grinning mouth of rotten, slimy teeth.

  15. That was so bad I think it actually killed me. I'm checking my pulse right now and not getting anything. Yup. Dead.

  17. Not as creepy as the Ice Capades with Disney Characters in the 1950's! Dear golly - they make even Mr. Yuk look like a nicer one to greet!

  18. I stopped at the "We're in the Money" girls shaking their moneymakers. So painful.

  19. My girlfriend and I were happy as far I could tell and I never thought that we would break up. When her cousin died in a tragic car accident she went to her family in Mexico for a week. I couldn't go because I was in the middle of entertaining out of town clients for work. She did not seem to be upset that I could not go so I let her be. The next thing I knew, she reconnected with an old friend from high school that she had a crush on years back and they started to have an affair! I had no clue what was going on until she came back from Mexico. She proceeded to see this old friend and I caught her and her old friend one night hugging each other. I confronted her and she told me the truth about what happened. We broke up and went our separate ways. Neither of us fought for our relationship. I was angry and decided not to be upset about it and just keep it moving. Then after about few months of no contact with her I became sad. I wanted her to tell me she wanted to be with me and not her old friend. I was really worried and didn't now what to do bout it, until one day i saw an advert on e internet about how a Dr saved a crumbling marriage, an i was really excited and i contacted the Dr for a love spell, his name is Dr Ewan and this is email address COVENANTSOLUTIONTEMPE@GMAIL.COM,he told me to do some things and i did it, he told me not t worry that my lover will e back to me in less than 6 hours. I thought it was a joke when she called me and told me that she is really sorry for everything that has happened in the past. I was filled with joy, Dr Ewan truly helped me and brought my lover back to me withing the space of 6 hours, he was able to get her to miss me, she wanted us to get back together again. She had lot of regrets and felt bad for not fighting to keep me and for cheating in generally. she cherish our relationship so much more now and we are together now! You can also get your lover back with the help of Dr.Ewan contact him through whats-app +2349057353987 his email: covenantsolutiontemple@gmail.com. Thank you Dr am grateful.
