  1. Brilliant!

The angry bald fella looks like either Charlie Bronson from "Bronson" or the MCP commander from Mad Max. Maybe both.

  2. How many cliches can you spot? Taking off glasses while making witty remark, complaining woman in desert, man on fire flailing wildly, woman trying to leave but pulled back, galloping horse gunfight, inert trinket can destroy world, derisive bald boss, quick turn of head while making decision, dying gasp advances plot.

  7. What a coincidence that I just bought this recently on VHS. I have yet to watch this so thank you for showing me that it was a wise $1 investment.

  8. True Story: Two ladies I know were at a grocery store, and saw someone they thought was Ernest Borgnine. As they talked quietly between themselves about it, the man turned around and said in a loud voice, "There's no need to whisper! It IS me! Ernie Borgnine!"

He gave them autographs and hugs...very nice guy!

  9. Anon: Cool story, bro. (Seriously, I'd give Ernie a hug.)

So being German makes you immortal?

  10. May I humbly suggest an Ernest Borgnine tag?

  11. From my drunken POV, it's like a cheap, super 80s Indiana Jones. Or maybe it's just the angry Germans.

  12. I'm not going to pretend like that movie does not look rad as fuck. Like 100 people got shot in a 5 minute time frame!

  13. I just bought this on VHS and feel its worth mentioning it is rated VM. Very Mature for Language/Extreme Violence.

  15. You are correct on the nationality, Anonymous person who has corrected us.

Upon further investigation: That's Capt. Devers from Space Mutiny! (The immortal Russian, not the main char.) <3

  16. i'm sorry, i totally didn't mean to be an arsehole with the correction. i guess it's cause i'm half german.
any 80's film with lasers/world domination plot will have bad guys who are either german or russian or some nationality other than american; however the 'bad guy' in this film is quite clearly russian. yet there are obviously many characters in this film of many other nationalities, such as all the unfortunate african extras who get killed in all manners of ridiculous ways.
thank you EIT, for making us laugh at lasers. again.

"I'm trying to apologize! What do you want me to do-- get down on my knees?"

    "That would be nice..."

    Worst. Pick-up line. Ever.
