  1. So when punk started, it was basically emo?

  2. I like that the flaming pile of punk records was topped with "Sticky Fingers" by the Rolling Stones -- arguably the most punk record ever made.

Phineas: It's from Rock n' Roll High School, and most of the records being burned are Ramones records. I have no idea why they threw Sticky Fingers in there, though.

  5. The Bronson & Norris ones - and that poor girl lying on the ground - got me thinking. Punk is one of those Hollywood 'others', an enemy so inhuman it's OK to beat up/kill them. Like Communists before them, and Muslims today.

But Communists and Muslims are supposed to have an ideology (in reality of peace and respect, but that's besides the point). What did punks have? Colorful hair? Spitting? Being angry?

How could Hollywood make 1000s of films about an enemy that never existed in the first place?

    Great series!
