I have to admit that I sort of love the way that The X-Files influenced the visual style, music, and tone of all of these shitty "documentaries" in the '90s. They're sort of brilliant in their own absurd way, more so than the more professionally done, Michael Moore/Discovery styled things that we get in seven hour blocks on the Discovery Channel during the day now.
Why does every one of these overly touted documentary guys have a British accent and vest on? You're not on an english fishing trip in the middle of the desert there Bruce..
Stuff like this airs regularly on National Geographic Channel and Discovery Channel. Not sure to hate it or just be amused or wait for the alien overlords to come take me.
