A BRIEF HISTORY OF JOCK JAMS

Remember, kids, if you really want to break into the music business, practice your ballwork.

Meet the Chicago 6, Chicago's own professional athlete supergroup!

And New Jack Swing, who will blow your mind on the court and the charts...or something...

  1. I love when bands made of athletes and celebrities feel the need to validate their reasons for becoming a band - by performing songs that are about how they became a band and why. ROCK'N'ROLL y'all.

  4. They just want to show how overpaid they are by buying a rock concert for them to play at. This is something you would hear a local band made up of accountants and dentists perform at a fair.

At 0:16 I could have sworn I heard him sing "Standing busting heads on a slapping ghost" .

  7. Wow. I'm sure it won't be long before "The Chicago 6" promote their "music" on some TV infomercial... Or just get on a Nutrisystem ad. Either way, I smell a whole lot of success on the way! ;-)

  8. I thought "New Jack Swing" looked familiar...they are the band Joe Public, who had a hit single back in 91 - "Live and Learn". (video below)

Maybe I am a bit naive, but playing electrical musical instruments in the rain doesn't seem like the best idea.

  9. We have got a serious Popped Collar Alert (PCA) at approx. 1:43 of the chicago six video.

I'm glad to see the second group got that lucrative endorsement deal from Hair Extensions 'R US.
